Default Power Window Delete, retain glass window

I wanted to delete the motors on my track car. I also needed glass in the doors as the car is stored outside. I also wanted to not pay for Lexan or even cheap Plexi so I devised a way to attach a strap to the OE glass.

Pics and details at my blog.

Heh, good stuff. What sort of prices would you have been looking at if you had tried to get some manual crank lifters?

Paragon sells a kit that is like $200 a side to add a crank.

Yeah, you just raise the strap to raise the window. I will most likely just take the whole window out while on the track. No need to have it rattling around in the door.

Quite a few track guys just use a nylon wedge to hold the glass in place.

OT, bill, howd you get your 951 to accelerate that fast 50-90?

Strap it to a dyno?

All I did was a pull in third gear from 2krpm to 6300rpm with my modest 276whp/300wtq. I just looked at the time marks on the run chart and realized thats how fast it does it, which I then posted because it sounds more impressive than just posting the power numbers.

This was the highest power pull, but not the fastest. 8.2 - 4.7 = 3.5 (time is the bottom/horizontal scale)
