Post newbie A/C question

Can anybod tell me where the low-side and high-side connections are for the A/C system? I'm a newbie and don't really know my way around under the hood yet.

Pictures would be greatly appreciated.

TIA,
Tod

The high and low side connections should be on the driver's side of the engine, toward the front of the car. Look directly to the left of the driver's side strut mount. There should be 2 hard metal lines that each have a schrader valve on it (bicycle tire valve). There should be a black plastic cap on each one.

I can't remember which one is the high side and which one is low. Just put your gauge on each one to see. This will only work if your system has some pressure in it, and the expansion valve is in good shape though. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" />

I tried using a pressure gauge, but couldn't get a reading. I've already had the R12 evacuated. Does that make a difference?

Thanks for your help beab951! I now have a working R134a system. I did manage to spray refrigerant/oil everywhere though.
