Exclamation Replace the rollers when doing your belts???

YES!!!
Had read here that this was a good idea, but that was after I had replaced just the belts and water pump. Neglected to replace the rollers and am now in the process of replacing the third and final one that could have failed (it's close to failure, squeeling like a pig). These rollers gradually failed in the 9 months since doing the belts. Car was new (to me) and so was unaware of the roller situation (read it here later).
First the timing belt roller near the water pump went, then last week the balance shaft roller. Now its the tensioner roller squealing.
Wished I'd had some Rennlist advice before doing that job the first time! On a happy note, I'm gettin' plenty of experience, and am darn lucky there's been no belt breakage...

Had a roller fail on me. I was very lucky not to have to rebuild the engine! Congrats on getting the job done

in retrospect, i should have realized a butcher touched my car because when i bought it the belts were changed. i stress like the salesman stressed, the belts were changed. three months later the rollers were changed.

Hey Michelle and Tom,
Thanks for your replies, just had to vent a little and it helps to know others have been down the same road.
