seriously, that is one nice car! great upgrades
only thing is, have you thought about getting that dash coverlay thing from the other post a while back? that thing looked great... and your carpet.. well.. looks like a carpet on the dashboard.. better than cracks i guess but not too good in itself.. give it a shot (if you have the $ to burn) ... i bet itll look great!

The dash carpet cover thing is actually just preventative. The dash is like brand new underneath, no cracks or even hints of it. The carpet just makes it easier to keep that way. I guess it would look a little better without it, but here in FL the sun gets pretty hot and dashboards get dried out pretty quick when they're exposed...

Do they make door stills for the 951 with the Turbo insignia anywhere, and if they do, how much and where can I get em. I want a pair!

I have a Guards Red 944 and was noticing that your steering wheel is red. I'm thinking of doing my interior in red/black. Have you done much with yours? Any pics? Thanx

Little caution on the Turbo doorsills, the turbo script is not lined up on center. Look close at the pics. I cannot figure out why they did it this way, but I have confirmed that the sills ship out like this, and is not the picture.
I love the look of them, but that little thing would probably burn my *** every time I got in the car.

dave120 - that is one fine looking S2!!
question...is that the original 12 year-old paint? if so, i'm even more jealous i've been trying to get my car back up to shine with paint cleaners, clay bars, polishes, and several coats of wax and some parts are still pretty dull - particularly the hood. i'm thinking i might just get a respray.
anyway, keep her looking SWEET!

Yep--original paint! Believe it or not...
Except for the front nose piece and headlight covers because they were starting to get rock chips and stuff just from being driven.
Other than that it's all original! It has the Zaino Brothers wax on it. That stuff has to have been made by people with black cars.. So much easier to keep clean and it's been 6 months since the last time I put a coat on! GREAT stuff..car is like a perfect mirror now. Although with how slick it makes the paint it was a chore to stick my vinyl numbers on for DE! They wouldn't stick to it..dust and stuff just blows off as soon as you drive it..

I can't tell for sure, but is that a harness bar or a roll bar you have installed?
If it's just a harness bar (which is what I think it is), I hope that you don't have your harnesses attached directly to the bar: the harness bars are not able to handle such a direct load. What you can do is loop them over the harness bar, and attach it to eye bolts that can be installed on the rear seatbelt anchor locations. Hope that doesn't sound too confusing...
Just my $0.42
-Zoltan.
BTW: I have a red S2, and for track usage, I have a pair of 6 point red harnesses as well!

Zoltan,
What is the point of a harness bar then?
I've got one in my car and was contemplating mounting my harnesses to it. Upon inspection, there is no way it would be strong enough to survive the stress of an impact with harnesses directly attached.
My question is, if you loop your harness over the bar and then to the eyebolts, aren't you still putting stress on the harness bar in a crash?
I know there is something about minimizing compression injuries under G loading...but I don't really understand.
Thanks,
and please excuse my ignorance
