Thumbs up Central Florida 944 GTG, March 28th!

Hi everybody, we are having another "get-together"/cruise in the Orlando area on March 28th, 2009! EVERYONE is welcome to join us, as we will be cruising through some of Central Florida's most scenic, twistiest roads.

Schedule of events: 11:30am we will meet up on the top of the Wachovia parking garage (see address in the flyer). We will leave promptly at 12:30, so please try not to be late, or you will have to catch up! We will start out doing some highway group cruising, to get to the backroads. We will then make our loop around Lake Apopka, traveling through Taveres and Mt. Dora areas, with probably a stop in between for a photoshoot. At the end of our loop, we will eat at a barbeque restaurant in Apopka, and then head home!

This meet is dedicated to (but not limited to) all 928/924/944/968 variants. Again, anyone else is more than welcome to join. We will most likely have another camera car tagging along this time . If you have not seen the video from our last meet, you can see it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ooDj5QwI6w4

Our attendance expectancy for this meet is the largest yet! So don't miss out on your chance to chat with other local 928/924/944/968 owners and check out their cars!

If anyone has any questions you can contact me directly. Thanks, and we will see you March 28th!!!
-Elliott

Unfortunately this is a NASA FL racing weekend at Sebring. We'll be there running at least 1 944 in the 944 Cup class...

Where are you guys? First day since I posted it and I'm already getting more interest in the 928 section!

No worries, I know we'll have a huge turnout this time.

I hate get-togethers....

....makes me wish my car wasn't in pieces.

Have fun! I'll be there in spirit.

Unfortunately, I *just* took my 944 back to my parents house, so I really doubt I'll be down there again anytime soon to pick it back up. I have a lot of adjustment on my exhaust, and motor mounts, and a few other miscellaneous stuff that needs to be done before getting it back out.

I have the date on my calendar, if I get the car back to Orlando before then - I'll make sure to go.

It's a good sign when google maps says it's 88 miles to get there.

Matt, where is the car right now? If you get the car back in town, let me know. I hope you can make it!

not sure if I understand...

I know it's a long drive for some of you guys. This is just an invitation, and an oppertunity to meet and hang out with a bunch of other 944 owners. We only do this about twice per year. There will actually be a group from the Tampa area headed out together if you don't want to cruise solo. Anyone from the west coast can contact Wade (ninefiftyone) and he will let you know where and when to meet up!

And who knows, if we have enough showing from the west, then maybe we can setup a meet over there some time!?

I think I sent those guys a PM as well, so sooner or later they should see this thread, but I'll need your help enticing them to come! What part of Tampa are you guys from? I'll let Wade know so he can organize a meeting spot convenient for everyone.

Default Hope to be there, Elliot!

Hey, any one out there want to help me replace my original clutch? Baby's been in the garge for a while due to the economy, but I can afford the clutch if I can get some help changing it.
Keep me posted Elliot!
