Arrow LOUD tapping when cold

The S2 was making a loud, what sounded like injector, tapping noise a few minutes ago when were were loading it onto the trailer. It went away after it warmed up though. Is this the sign of any kinda problem? I'm pretty sure its okay I just wanted to make sure

First guess without hearing it myself would be the cam followers (lifters) didnt pump up right away. This happens on these cars intermittently.

It sounds more like tappets if the noise goes away when warm, if it were the injectors I think you would hear the ticking all the time.

I have a noisey tappet(s) when cold, which subside when warm. Using thicker 20W-50 oil helps retain the oil in the tappet itself when you switch the engine off, so that when restarted there is some oil in to keep it quiet. I intend on having my tappets replaced at some point, but they are about £25 (~$40) each (and there are 16 of them!)
