Default WHAT'S THE P/N FOR THE TALL OIL FILTER

Does anybody know the part # for the "tall" oil filter for the 968? When I first started buying filters they were much bigger than what I am getting now. If the current filter is 5", the taller one must be 9". (not exact numbers, just a guess). Anybody know the p/n?

I think it is the 928 part? The short one is Mahle OC-142.

Yea, it was an oc- something, and I think you're right about the OC-142.

NOT the 928 one!!

944-107-201-08 = Short = LS154 (Made in USA)
944-107-201-03 = Tall = OC-75 (Made in Austria)

I think the OC-142 is the same as OC-75, but can't confirm atm.
OC 142 is the short one, and the 75 is the tall one.

Mahle filters are "OC and a number" Porsche filters are LS and a number.

Those were what were in the Porsche Boxes.

Didn't have a OC-75 to check. Thanks Doc.

One more question. Does anybody use the tall filter or have any knowledge that this is ok to do? I can't imagine why it wouldn't be ok, but if you know I'd be gratefull.

If its the 928 filter, it runs open end up and thus doesnt haven an anti drain back flap, so ideally shouldnt be used in 944s.

I've been using the OC-75 for a couple of years, no problems.
