944 Wallpaper or Screensaver Anyone?
On Porsche's official web site you can download nice desktop wallpaper pictures of new 911s and Boxsters. You can also download a nice screensaver showing "911 evolution".
Does anyone here have the time and talent to make a nice 1024x768 (and possibly other resolutions) wallpaper of a nice 944? This is probably pretty easy. How does one save a picture with a specific resolution? What if the original photo doesn't quite have the right dimensions?
Better yet, does anyone have the time and talent to make a 944 screensaver? Perhaps someone could do a "968 evolution" screensaver. I would suggest the following pictures: 924, 924S, 944, 944T, 968.
Cheers,
Mark

I planned on making a rotating one of my car sometime. I've messed around with rotating objects before on a still camera. At the bare minimum it'll take 16 shots every 22.5 degrees. (That's with a stationary camera and rotating the object)
Then from there the more you decrease the increments of movement the smoother the image will be. Like on the More 911's screen saver that is a lot of shots. Probably every 5-10 degrees.
The problem I found is that unless you can find a really large turntable you'll have to move the car for each shot. And then the problem becomes keeping the center of the car where it's suppose to be.
The only other solution is to make a center point on the roof of the car and then take shots in a radius from that. But then the problem is the lighting will change since you'd be outside. And even if you're inside too, unless you have a large studio to go in.

All my wallpapers are pics of my favorite driver and crew (me and family) valiantly striving to reduce lap times at places like Road America (see Avatar <-).
When I get bored, I just go out and make more. Sweet!

I made this background two weeks ago using the quote of an old 930 add. Tell me what you think!
