Angry Intermittent AC

On my '86 NA, the AC works great 95% of the time,
but occasionally starts blowing heated air.
After about a minute, the AC returns and
everything is fine. Ay ideas for a fix? Florida
summers make this a nuisance!

Ahhh, the infamous AC clip. I have not yet
checked that, but I doubt if that could be the
cause, as the AC reverts to proper operation
without any action on my part.

As a temporary (or maybe permanant, in Fla.) fix, you might try tying your heater valve shut with a zip tie. If it doesn't happen any more, then you need to find out why the CC brain is sending a false signal calling for heat. Probably a sensor problem. Check the archives; it's been written up several times.
