Right, But I have seen at least 2 87+ 944's with these and even an 88 with cookie cutters which is also early offset.

 

i think they look good. just make sure you have the proper measurements. im trying to fit d90s on my 86 944, it looks good, but im just afraid of rubbing, so ima do more testing.

 

Yes, they will fit, but will stick out too far IMO.

 

The design will look good, but I agree with jlturpin. I love Fuchs on 86 turbos!

 

people that put those on usually have to roll fenders because it is a TIGHT fit.

 

I accidentally bought early offset 16" phonies and when I put them on they rubbed in the back bigtime. It wasn't even close to fitting. I wouldn't go there.

 

Depending on the tire size, they may fit, but you will need to roll your fenders and increase the negative camber.

I bet if you went with 205/55/16 all around, rolled the rear fenders, and go with -2 camber up front and -3 camber in the rear, they will fit.

 

Im really surprised that no aftermarket compant ever made the fuchs in a late offset.

 

I love the way fuchs look on the early cars

 

D90's should fit on your 86. I had them on my 85.5, but with spacers.

 

do you happen to remember the measurements on your spacers if you dont mind me asking?? im afraid to get a wrong measurement and they will stick out too much. i just want them to fill the fender a little bit more than my 15 in fuchs

 

I'm in the same boat -- trying to properly fit some d90's to an early car.

 

Well most early cars are ET 23, and late cars are ET 50/60 something...so you'll need 25-30mm spacers (rought math..you'll need to know widths to make a definite decision)
