I'm heading to NYC next week, I think... if I venture north from there, I will be happy to buy dinner and beer.

John D, just a thought here... the bells and whistles you're bustin' your butt to bring us are really nice, and hugely appreciated. But what really rocks this world is the simple existance of Rennlist! Hell, it could be almost as primitive as usenet, and it'd still be grand!
It's the people, and the place _you_ have created to bring us together. Don't let bringing us the improvements keep you from having a life for yourself...

I can't even begin to imagine the diversity of this crowd in real life. We might or might not get along with each other. With this many people, there might be some ..uh, "personality conflicts." Here, tho', it works. You've created both an information tool, and a real community. Just be sure that you're having some life for yourself beyond Rennlist. And thank you. Muchly.

Jim, no joke....

Thanks Jim...

I really mean that - and to all the folks that support this site. I guess in my view, though - I just sort of keep the roads paved and get to enforce the rules, but it folks like yourself who have made Rennlist the Community it has become. For that - you and all the folks here deserve the credit...

As for the changes/upgrades/enhancements - I guess my view as well, is that this site deserves the best, so I'll keep them coming.. . I do steal some time "off Rennlist" on ocassion, but the last week has been a little silly with the server crash aftermath and the resulting problems with some of the earlier browsers. Anyway - it is kind of - ummm - "interesting" at times like that

Jim - and all - my thanks...!!!!

I wish I had my computer set up where it keeps temporary internet files past 1MB. I have about 10 rennlist posts in my history but not the one I posted. I was hoping that I could browse offline and copy and paste it, but guess not.

Hey led is it in your history?

Here you go:

Is there anyway a person could hide a radar detector in their car (in a box in the glove box maybe?), hook the light up to the light on the gauge cluster, and hide the power switch under the dash or something? The reason I ask this is because I'm in VA and it's sort of illegal to have a radar detector.

This will need to become a seperate thread, but until then, BTDT!

And BTW, contrary to what your state might try to tell you, the federal government decided a long time ago that all Americans have the right to monitor any frequency they desire, and that is all a radar detector does. (Communications act of [I forget the year, might be] 1934)
