Did someone get back with you about the orientation of the wires on the hall sensor? My car is under snow and a cover and my connector is all taped up, otherwise I would have checked my car for you.

do you think the computer has to be bolted back on the metal frame and in the car in order to work fine? because i just connected mine and left it there on passenger floor..

yes! new ref sensor..based on clarks garage a new ref sensor dose not need any adjustment,just torque it to 6..it dose not have a speed sensor,

That looks like a main ground to the back of the engine block. Try to get in there to loosen it up again and clean up the connection, then tighten it. I know it is a small spaced in there to work with but any loss of grounding can lead to unexpected problems.
