Default hi new guy new toy 86 951

hi everyone i'm 36 married coulpe of rugrats.always liked porsches since i was a kid and first seen a 944.anyways i have had several toys over the years two different dsm with over 500 h/p to the wheels a supra gtp mustang a few others funnest was a turbo hayabusa.decided to get rid of the hayabusa before it got rid of me which left me with some extra money so i had a choice between a corvette or porcshe.went with the 944 main fact it i can fit to small children in it and my wife will be able to enjoy it also.it is on it's way to me i bought it from a dealership out of arizona heres some pics tell me what you guys think.fresh rebuild new belts timing balences shaft larger turbo full exhaust ect...

Joe,
That is the AIR fiberglass splitter (I have a brand new you can have for 200). The ones we are making are from ABS/High Impact Plastic...flexible and impact resistant, unlike fiberglass

Welcome. I have always liked the 86 models. There were updates every year throughout the 951 production, but I have had lots of experiance with several 86 turbos and they always seemed to have something more. One in particular was brutal-fast. The kind of car that you did'nt nail it unless you could see a mile down the road, and even then your heart was jumping and your knees were shaking when you got out. The tires would chirp over every expansion joint in the freeway well into the triple digits.
Be very careful with this "toy". You will get a great deal of pleasure in Porsche ownership and you came to the right place here at Rennlist. Easily the greatest automotive forum on the web-you will get most of your questions answered here.
Welcome

Hey, nice find! She looks like a beaut!

That interior could use a little TLC. The exterior looks great - I love the nosepanel.

Welcome.

looks to me like the nosepanel, bumper and splitter are all one piece. Notice no headlight washers or gaps.

Congrats and welcome. Beautiful car there. Be very careful with it until you know how well it is tuned. It only takes a split second to go from road warrior to road kill with these cars. The car looks familiar but I can't place it. I bet Jeremy Himsel would know for sure. Again welcome to the obsession.
