I didn't cover it myself, my friend did that. Alcantara it's not easy to use as it doesn't stretch a bit.

I started the engine few weeks ago and it started and idled well. Didn't have it running too long because of the missing exhaust and no coolant.

I've been working on the car a bit after that and here's the results.

New fuel rail:

Exhaust is almost complete, only 30-40 cm's between downpipe and muffler is left to do and aluminium protective shroud around orifice to protect paint:

Wow, that thing is going to scream! I hope you can share some audio/video when you get that beast all setup.

After some long break a bit of update to this thread.
Few weeks ago I had first runs with this car and besides some minor issues all was fine.

Some pics too.

Here's engine. Few items are missing, like a vent hose from head to oil catch tank etc but it runs ok on 0.8bars, need to get the wheels aligned and then tune it.

Cocpit. Needs some tiding-up and finish that exchaust tunnel but all gauges etc are working.

Thanks guys.

I will go to the old military airport to tune the car a bit and drive as much as possible with it to discover any flaws/mistakes etc. Maybe I can make a video also, have to find a photo-camera that makes video with audio first

Though don't expect anything too spectacular or dramatic out of first runs, it's running on sissy boost level at the moment.
Of course, it's been running only for few kilometers total since assembly....

Had a first test-drive with it on airfield and did some tuning on the same Euro 931 stock boost level - 0.8 bars.
It ran ok and no major problems with 10-15 kilometers of WOT on old airfield but crank ventilation hose that comes from turbo oil line (to oil pan) was not connected and it spitted some oil to exhaust causing scary smoke. Luckiliy nothing serious.
For 0.8 bars it runs ok, much faster than my Audi A8 4.2 Judging by butt dyno, weight and fuel injector duty cycle (630cc @ 60%) it should have around 250 hp

Here's another vid, still at .8 bars of boost, but tuned a bit and car feels pretty fast now.
I was accelerating from 1st to 3rd gear, held phone in one hand and drove with another, hence slowish shifts and G31 dogleg doesn't help also shifting fast.

Had a freaky moment on Thursday: took the car out and went to airfield, applied WOT and BAM, fuel cut. I was thinking like WTF... Raised fuel cut limit to 1.4 bars (was 1.1 bars) and tried again keeping close eye on lambda values. On 3rd gave it a go and whooaaa, rear end started slipping followed by fuel cut. All was clear, wastegate wasn't functioning and all the boost the turbo could make, made it to the engine.
Drove back to garage and checked, there was a melted hole in the plastic pipe that goes to wastegate. It was touching the exhaust at some point that was the result. Fixed it and all was ok again.

Actually not, I miss the boost hit and I will up the boost soon to normal level for this engine, around 1.6 bars

It's been some time but the car is running now very good with 0.9 bars of boost making around 270-280 hp and is super-responsive between gearshifts and basically there is no lag in corners when revs are 4000+. And it spins 235/610 R17 slicks so easy on 3rd in corners that it is scary Of course, it weighs around 950 kg's too, that makes it much easier.
Went to the track first time on Sunday and car held up just fine for around 20 laps+20 laps in a row. No oil pressure loss in corners (I was on slicks), no overheating etc. The more I drove the faster the car (or perhaps the driver) got.

No wings or splitters yet but I'm planning some aero "development" in winter.

Few pics also:

Few more pics:

First corner taken with the car and with dead cold slicks it was like that (applied too much throttle with 2nd gear):
