Post Sunroof problem

I spent most of last night trying to fix my sunroof. Armed with a lot of info from this forum and Clark's garage I was sure I could find the problem. No such luck! Here is what I know thus far. Gears are not stripped. Switches I and II were lose and out of adjustment. At this point I can't raise the sunroof. It just makes a click sound when I press the button. If I raise the roof manually I can then lower the roof to the locking position with the ignition in position 2. I can also retract the arms to remove the roof. I can't get the arms to go the other direction. Please help!

So, when you move it manually, it raises fine?

Perhaps the torque on the slip clutch is too low, then the motor will just spin when trying to raise the roof. It will lower, because there is less stress to lower it.

I'd check that first.....

Not sure if the motor is spinning. I will have to check that. How do I adjust the slip clutch?

If you let the arms retract fully, so that you can lift the roof by hand. Then lift the roof by hand/or remove the roof, no arms attached, and then press the button to lift the arms. Do the arms lift?
