2.5 inch stainless Magnaflow hi-flow here...its about 1/4 the length of the factory unit.

No emmissions to pass here.

Yeah I just picked up a Magnaflow cat too, but haven't put it in yet. I'll let you know how it turns out.

OT: Rick did you install that euro bumper yet?

2.5 inch? I could have sworn I bought a 2.25 inch and it was a good fit on the stock NA piping. Guess I was wrong.

PM me.
Do the 8v and the S2 share exhaust components? The other one I am looking at is an S. I know the turbo system is very different, but not sure on the 16v cars.

How much do you want + and how much to ship out to 92592?

Look for a large spun-metal cat. I discussed this with some other guys on another board and a bunch of them like the spun-metal IIRC. Flows better than standard matrix and offers great primary purpose.

I've got a 3" high flow cat I'm removing (parting the car) that I'll have for sale soon...I forget who makes it, I'll have to check on it to see if it's stamped or anything.

PM me if interested.

Is there any way to know if you are going to fail or not with out going through emissions.

Yeah, I can get a pre test, which is what we did to find out that I was barely over on the numbers, and that there was too much o2 which the cat should be using to convert the other gases.

S2 does not share almost anything with other 944's ;-) It's kind of a bastard in that sense... Heh, 100-150cpi cat will flow similarly to a 'test pipe' but is more environment friendly.

Default CA listers, your state has been busy screwing you over again.

OK, I took a used one off of one of my old cars, it barely failed, was very close . I then started looking into the cats suggested, ALL ARE ILLEGAL TO SHIP TO CA. There is a new law starting Jan 1 that you can't use a cat that is not specifically for your car. I hate this place some times. They make it more and more difficult to conform to their pointless laws. Anyway, I found this one:

http://www.racepages.com/products/?u...21&submit.y=11

It is OK to ship to CA. So it should be here the first part of next week. On the bright side, the place I took my car doesn't charge for the manual tests to see if you pass before they hook you up to big brother's evil smog computer.

Quick Reply: so what is everyone doing for catalytic converters?
