Default Found out something cool today..

that "shiney never opened air compressor" i found in the back of my 944, turns out that it's kinda hard to get a hold of, and is $498 from porsche direct.... DAYUMMM! bidding starts at $400 haha jk.

glad i have it.. any other guys out there have one of these?

No I just never knew they were rare...I've got mine in a box under some camaro parts...maybe send ebay? ha

You should at least plug it in to see if it even works. I have the one that came with my car, but the motor doesn't run. I will probably pull it apart to fix it when I have the time. I suspect that the piston is seized in the bore or the corrosion on the aperture is binding the motor.

Keep it... They come in handy when you end of with a flat 220 miles from home in a rural area...

I have used mine on a regular basis at autocross. I have been impressed with the volume of air they push. With the S2 you need the pump since the spare is compact and uninflated when stored.

I used xsboost90's at the '06 fest, was a little slow but worked great otherwise.

i saw an old post on pelican, $125 shipped, not a bad idea, it also sounds like it's more for show cars and stuff, adds to the originality and value. Might be posting a little something something on ebay soon

Mine works alright and has come in handy a few times before. I've heard they blow the fuse a lot, and that does happen to me... it can get annoying but now I just replace the 15A fuse with a 20A while running the pump. And then I need to reset my radio stations...

I have one too, but it's not black and in box, but orange and did not came in a box.. I guess it must be older version or something..
