Default How my wife's ex-husband bought me a 944

I thought I would share just how I was able to get one of my teenage dream cars. My wife got married out of collage to her high school sweetheart. This poor guy never knew a good thing when he had it. His dad had worked for GM and bought him a fully restored in mint condition '68 Camaro (another dream car). The guy sold it and bought a 1984 Camaro that should say enough right there....

So any way my wife still had the diamond from this guy and it was in a necklace sitting around in her jewelry box collecting dust. This fall we went to visit our friends in Toronto and he owns a jewelry store and we were going to ask him about selling this diamond for us. Well I had also helped him purchase a Boxster her in Atlanta (okay all I did was test drive ). His wife mentioned what he was thinking of selling his 944 for.... Well I made him an offer the diamond for his car. He finally accepted the offer and in the beginning of December I used frequent flyer miles and flew up to Toronto to begin my trip home.

So my first trip in my new baby was from Toronto to Atlanta. Not one problem and still can't get the silly grin off my face when I think of her...

What a wife I have!!

A bit strange, indeed.
Didn't you tell this story already? I remember you telling it once or twice already.

I may have shared a little in one my earlier post relating to a question but most people who hear the story get a laugh... I don't think there will be another - but I wouldn't mind trading her current rings for a 911 - not sure that would fly.
