Talking The Best Looking Intake Manafold And Stock Boost Tubes!!!

I did the boost tubes and my friend did the intake after I gave up. Let me know if you all like it and if any of you would like to have this done.

Wow that pic is big. Sorry, I'll try and change that. Also, they are both MUCH,MUCH shinier than in the pic. They look like mirrors.

OK. I talked to me friend about doing some more of these. What would you all say to $160 for the intake. Return shipping would be Fedex and VERY cheap.

Cool

Ok I am not trying to start and argument here by an means but.....

WIth a $60 buffing wheel with a brass brush on one side and a polishing wheel on the other. any one can do this...

After I finnishe the balence shafts and install the new stainless steel fule lines I got from Speed force racing, I am removing this stuff including the intake manifold and the valve cover to do all the vacume lines. I will be poloshing the intake and cleaning up then painting the valve cover "Not sure what color" then using in this order 1500/2000/2500 grit sand papper with a flat belt sander to poloish the raised PORSCHE on the valve cover. I estimate the intake MAnifold will take about three hours to clean with the brash brush and about an hour with buffing compund and buffing wheel. It is really not that hard and any one can buy the buffing wheel for 60-69 bucks. Well just my .002 worth. <img src="graemlins/bigok.gif" border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" />

You are correct that it does not cost that much to do, but it take a very long time to do and it is a big pain in the butt! That price was not 100%. I was just going by the other companys that charge $300/$400 for a polished intake. If you can do it yourself that's great. If there is anyone that can not do it or does not want to spend the time it requiers then maybe this might help you out.

did you put any kind of clear coat on those?

being that the pipes are steel and the manifold is aluminum, won't that nice shiny finish soon be marred by oxidation and tarnish?
