how do I mask off a perfect circle for track car?
I am prepping my track and want to paint some large circles on the doors and on the roof and hood.
Question, how do you tape/mask off a perfect circle. I am thinking some like 16 inches in diameter. Others up to 30 inches.
Is there a bodyshop product that is like tacky paper that can have a perfect circle cut out with a string and knife?

Get vinyl cut out and use acrylic paint on top of it, then you can replace or change if need be. Or you you can buy pre-mask from a sign supply company..that can be trimmed w/ a knife. We use it for spraying custom graphics.

I'd think you would have to apply the vinyl first, and then mask and paint while it is on the car. It should stick fine, until you decide to peel it off, then the paint would probably flake.

Stupid question... if it's a track car, why does it need to be perfect???
I did mine with masking tape, back when I ran meatballs; drew on a circle, then taped around it.
Good enough for the spray-bomb paint I finished it in...
