Pictures as promised... Where the rubber grommet goes, the hood has a nice flat area (i.e. that's where it's supposed to go). But, since my hood is fiberglass, I thought I'd reinforce the area a little bit with a piece of aluminum epoxied in place. I also used some epoxy to help hold the clip in place (since it would have originally been mounted in sheet metal.)

And, then for the body, I made a little sheet metal bracket and welded it onto the wheel arch. I can only assume it's approximately where the factory put it... it's right where the rod naturally pointed to.

I found it in Pet 6 on the early 944. From the p/n's, it also comes from the 924.

No, mine is a turbo S.

I cut the nose panel with a plasma cutter and bought some rubber trim from McMaster...

Roman, I had an '83 parts car for a little while... chopped the roof off for the turbo.

So when will I see you at the track?

I don't think that would be class legal...

In fact, venting my metal one might not be.

Reviving an excellent old thread ... curious to know if the clips for the hood stay come with the stay. If not anyone know the part number for the clips. Can't see anything on the PET.
