Its ignition temperature is 1585ºF at both 5 psi and 0 psi (which is better than the DuPont R-134a's ignition temperature of 368ºF at 5 psi and 1411ºF at 0 psi).
Sooooo... would this (ENVIRO-SAFE)be ok? / safe <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[burnout]" />

Paul, Genetron 500 is an azeotrope, non flammable and is compatible w/ r12. Like I said it was shipped as as the refrigerant for some commercial r12 equipment we had. I currently have a 1600 h.p. freon system in one of our facilities. With the cost of r12 we can't afford any leaks! No special fittings needed as it is for r12. I have a vacuume pump also. Let me know if you want to do it and I'll gladly help you out.
