Default Cooling Fan Question

I started the 944 this morning, I let it run for 5 minutes then took it on a brisk 3 mile run, then let it run again at home for 10 minutes. Shouldnt the cooling fans run when I shut it off ??? They dont.

Did they *eventually* turn off?

I frequently hear the high speed one run after I turn the car off.

Could be a couple of things but perhaps the temp isn't "high enough" to get the high speed fan to run.

Mine seem to always run for a couple of minutes even when its around zero degrees out.... So as long as your car fully heated up, from my experience, yeah they should be running after you shut it off. Keep in mind my experience is very limited though.

What's your coolant level before startup... on a cold engine?

only if the car is hot after you shut it off will the fans activate...

your car probably wasnt warm enough to warrant that..60 degree air through the radiator would be the explanation for that
