Will have pics later.
only 6 runs because there were so many drivers (150 i think), but it was fun except for my 3 spins (and thus 3 ruined runs)
I didn't mind the spins, more the 3 ruined runs
Twas fun as usuall...going for the 3rd in a row next weekend with with metro NY.
The parking lot was bad...hopefully moving to the lot where we staged for the next event.

damn you have a lot of posts adrial
so you only had 3 runs?
btw did you get the car to start normally or are you still starting it with wires?
hope all is well and that the one this weekend is on a flat parking lot without little rocks and stuff..heh

I had 6 runs, but I spun 3
Yup lotta posts, spend too much time on here!
I'm still starting with wires, but I'm gonna hook up the regular starter cable because I think the problem may have fixed itself!
See ya next weekend!

Indeed, it was a fun day. Phil, my "arch-rival" and good friend and I were pretty close again (last time, he beat me by 0.006 seconds: a number that is firmly engrained in my memory!), but alas, I was less than a seconds QUICKER than Phil this time, 0.867 seconds, to be exact! Gary, the first place guy was about 2 seconds quicker than I. He has slicks, and Phil and I run street tires.
I must say that I really enjoy the close, friendly competition at autox! BTW: Great job Yarin! He just eeked around me with his brother's (Arial's) 951S: and he's in rookie class vs. my 'veteran' status. (We both run in S7 class). I guess being an old dog, I have to learn some new tricks...
And Dave, you got around me again! (He's in S3 with his 944n/a). But I'm getting closer...
Al: you disappeared too soon: but it was nice to see ya again. Know of any 914 that's giving you trouble (Good call, BTW)
Clem: (Jim): it was nice to meet you: love your car! BTW: How'd you end up doing?
I met Overkill at the end of the event: nice 944S you got there: take good care of it, and next time, plan on not just spectating!
So, when's the next event again...

Who's Arial? Yes you almost did it before and now you did it.
The video is Awesome...I left it at someone's house last night though...hehehe gotta go get that. Will try to digitize it. Also got some sweet digital footage of yarin whipping the back end out around the last turn yesterday.
The next event? ohh next weekend of course
Metro NY PCA, cmon Zoltan don't be a wussy! But if you're not hardcore enough...I understand
I walked away kind of upset at myself, but there's always next time. and I am getting more and more convinced to try a DE..

You did fine, ADRIAL! (Sorry about the typo...) Sometimes you gotta push beyond the limits of your car to find it's limits! If I'd push my car harder and spin out sometimes, maybe my times would be better, and I can finally through the course quicker than Dave and Al in their n/a's! hehehe...
Regarding DE: I think you're ready for it. Talk or email Bill Gilbert: I'm sure he feels the same way. BTW: Watkins Glen in August just opened up on Friday: send in your application ASAP. ALL NNJR DE events fill up really fast, especially the lower run groups. You gotta send in your application the first day, or there's a good chance you'll be on the waiting list...

Hey Guys - Just wanted to chime in.
Had a great time Sunday and it was really a pleasure meeting everyone. I think I posted STD (um... Slow Time of Day) in the rookie 951/S2/968 class - as a result of basically being a wimp. I've definitely got to stay on the throttle more next time. After all - what good is my LSD if I'm not at the limit?
Tremendous first experience and looking forward to many more events.

What I'm wondering is how the heck car #968 dropped 5 seconds from morning runs to afternoon runs?!?!?
He was running steady 66's all morning...then steady 61's all afternoon.
Sounds fishy to me...especially because he took my 2nd place spot!

Always good to meet more Rennlisters, Clem , don't worry we all start out slow, 3-4 events and you'll see a big improvement.
Z-man had me worried, it took the last run to get past him, and Teklord was a measly .007 seconds behind me you might get me at the next one, guess I'll have to work a little harder.
