LM5U - Glacier Metallic; silver blue colour, 1989 and newer. Very nice colour.

EDIT: No, Glacier Metallic is LY5U, see below.

The 968 in this picture is glacier blue; silver 911SC in foreground, my Linen Grey Metallic 951 behind it. The roof of RandyJ's Zermatt Silver 951 is visible over the top of the 968, parked a row back.

Not the best picture, but I don't have a better picture of Darrel's car.

Well this paint code came from the sticker above the spare tire on a 1987 951, is that weird because you said 1989 and newer for that paint?

MY BAD! Apparently I can't read a colour code chart. LM5U is Diamond Blue Metallic, only offered in 1987. Glacier Metallic is LY5U; close but no cigar.

Oh well, I got to post a picture of some pretty Porsches. Maybe you should post a picture of the Diamond Blue 951 for comparison.

I got the "only 1987" information from Clark's Garage. So far the three examples all seem to be 1987s. Does anyone have a MY 1986 or 1988 car with LM5U paint code as indicated in the PET?

I dont- Juvie (Pel!can) had the color codes for all model years and verified the color code on mine.

Waterguy- that was the same problem I ran into. As soon as I get mine (PET)I'll repost.

...and Jonas.. How Rare??
