Olli - keep mentioning using a 951 mold, why not use the N/A headlight to make a kit for the N/A? kind of fresh start?
With this method, kits would be even more expensive.
To outsource production means usually hundreds of parts to be produced. It's the little bit same thing we faced up with Dan Wray (Iceshark) about 8-9 years ago. We were planning to get manufactured clear front indicator lenses for 951's & S2's. Dan tried to locate manufacture in the USA and i tried to find a one here in Europe. I contacted TalmuHella here in Finland, which fabricates rearlights for example for Boxters and Caymans assembled in Finland. That company was ready to make those lenses; only difficulty was the amount, they were expecting us to order 200000 pairs of lenses....
Then we found out Joakim in Sweden was fabricating those lenses, they were expensive, quality was, hmm.... acceptable. Things has changed from those years, for example high quality 951 clear lenses can be ordered very low price, and you only need to order 20 pairs of them.

Just for the record, I will buy one of these kits as soon as it's available. Hopefully by March-April time frame????

Thanks Ernest. I started "Porsche-ing" about 3 years ago as well...first it was just a little, stealing quick drives in my dad's boxster when he wasn't looking, then I progressed to buying my own...

btw I think I gave you a brown carpet set from my car a couple years ago - am I correct? If so, how'd they work out?

[sorry to everyone else for the threadjack]

I am up for 1 of these kits on my '83 club sport varient 944 as I have wanted them for a while and the other kits suck. I have been talking to Beni at Deutsch Nine International for a few weeks regarding these, as well as there new Lexan rear hatch with the Ferreri F40 ports see this thread if interested
https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...eferrerid=7288

Anyway the price for these GTS headlight kits is $499 but we might be able to get a little break if we can go after him with a large order and we would for sure save a lot on shipping so PLEASE give me a count of who is FOR SURE willing to purchase a set of these remarkable fitting headlight assemblies! We can give it a week or two for everyone to decide and then figure out the exact price we can get on them for each person then make a group buy! So I will start the official list and I can also organize shipping details through my fed-ex account because it might be easier and a lot cheaper to get them all to one spot from Swissland then I can distribute them through fed-ex!

+1 kit BOOSTFEEN

there is no word on availability yet, and no pictures on fitment; most likely it's spot on, but shouldn't we wait a little while longer untill atleast they give us approximate date?

That is why I said this:

We can give it a week or two for everyone to decide and then figure out the exact price we can get on them for each person

Getting a list together in the next couple weeks will get us a good idea of who is seriously thinking about this buy and it will save us all money so I dont think it hurts one bit! SO AGAIN PLEASE LET ME KNOW AS THIS THREAD BUILDS WHO IS SERIOUS!

cool - yup, I replaced that carpet with black carpet from a 951. I put in a new dash, but at the time i didn't spring for any dash repair, which I kind of regret now because the dash has cracks and I want to fix it...If you don't mind me asking, was $500 for a DIY kit or did that include having the dash fixed up and the new cover fitted? I'm actually back in the NYC area, so sometime when it gets warm out I'd love to see your car and check out the dash

As for the color scheme,I could see yellow and cork looking pretty good in a 944, but like you said, its your car, so if you like it, that's all that matters!

Well if you do a search there has been many discussions on my 968 turbo S as I was building it a couple years ago. But here are some great shots of it inside and out on a different site!

I am in for sure for one set, as long as it is with the dual round projector style light assemblies, rather than the old-school single rectangular bulbs.
