I'm trying to figure out which snow tires I want. Gotta make sure I keep track of this thread. Gotta get some 16" wheels, too.

A Subaru? ...I thought everybody in the PNW had a Subaru? That's why we bought ours...so we'll be "accepted" when we move out there.

We have 50 degrees and rain today. How backwards is that?!?

By the way, Wintersport M3s would be a great PNW tire since you get more "wet" than "snow and ice".

That being said I want to try Nokian tires as many swear by them..
Made here in Finland. I have used Nokian tires over 30 years.
btw. guy who runs Nokian testing department drives a Porsche. We have a chance to have Porsche slalom every year at the Nokian test track located at... Nokia
Nokia is a town here in finland where Nokia started with rubber products over 100 years ago.

Here in Finland we have mandatory season for winter tires from the begininnig of December till end of February. We are also allowed to used spiked(stuts) tires.

Nope, it's an 4wd Isuzu Rodeo. But yeah, everyone has a Subie, it seems like.

SNowed in Seattle yesterday and today its sunny, freezing and the roads are quiet.

I have good wet tires (its seattle) but not snow tires.

I've had fun doing slides and donuts in our empty parking lot.

Oh man we got some serious freezing rain last week. Didn't have power for 3.5 days and it uprooted a few huge trees in my yard.

What really sucked is my car was on jackstands this AM (middle of brake job) and I finished it around 1 (an hour after the snow really started) ...

Have you been working on your car outside?

I have the conti extreme contact all seasons. So far they have done well. I think that as the snow gets deeper here in Kansas City I may be forced to drive something else but couldn't spring for the other set of wheels and tires this year. Next year will be different. LSD sure does help!! (no not the drug! haha)
