Weight of a stock seat(answer)/seat suggestions for Danno
When I installed my fire extuinguisher mount I removed the seat and weighed it (before reinstalling it).
It's leather, 4 way power and came in at 50lbs

Yeah, I measured mine at 49lbs with the rail. I ended up re-using the rail with my new Corbeau 16lb seat so I suspect the weight savings is around 30lbs. I'm looking for a reclining seat for the passenger side if anyone has suggestions...

I like the Momo Street Racer from what I've seen, but have, unfortunatelt, never sat in one. They should weigh 25lbs- that's what I'm putting in my car- if I keep it long enough to get the $$$ together...
BTW, my mechanic and I weighed a couple of seats from a 944NA- one was full manual (39lbs) and the other was 4-way elec (47lbs). I had always beeen told that Porsche seats (in these cars) were at LEAST 60lbs. I was even told that the 12-way elec adj and heated Sport seats weighed obver 80lbs, but I picked one of them up, and it weighed less than 50lbs. Just more BULL**** in the Porsche (944) world- I can't imagine there ever existing another car w/NEARLY so much misinformation. Actually, it's also one of the most overrated cars out there, UNFORTUNATELY- IT MAKES ME SICK! Of course, had I bought one in better condition, I might be a little less pissed....
