Aside from OEM, which exhaust setup sounds nice without eliminating the unique Porsche sound?
By this I mean, not like a Mustang, but not buzzy rice either.
I listened to the Bursch setup / videos from that thread a few months ago, and it sounded quite nice although I hear there are some quality issues.
I also have heard a Borla on a 928, and it sounded very very nice.. I would imagine it would sound nice on the 944 as well?
Yet another is the custom SFR one.. maybe it was the low quality of the video it was featured in (exotic horsepower's SC'ed 944S2) but it sounded a tad resonant for my liking.

No, get a straight-pipe exhaust. No catalytic, no muffler. There will be no doubt what so ever that you're driving a PORSCHE!!! <img src="graemlins/jumper.gif" border="0" alt="[jumper]" /> <img src="graemlins/jumper.gif" border="0" alt="[jumper]" /> <img src="graemlins/jumper.gif" border="0" alt="[jumper]" />

I have the B&B and I really like it, nice low grumble at idle but it screams pretty good if ya get on it. I would however like to hear what some of the rest of you have. (anyone have audio clips?) I can get some clips of mine but I havent a clue how to post them.

If you don't track your car, I would go with a "Bosal" unit made in Belgium.
They're not cheap, but they're about as close to OE as you can get without going to the dealer, with the same deep Vroom sound as the original muffler.
If you mail in $20, they give you a lifetime warranty for as long as you own the car.
They stand behind their warranty, too, and their U.S. headquarters are right by you, in Parsippany, NJ.
