Default cheap porsche info

I just downloaded a porsche workshop manual for about $15, from" "datamanuals".I then put it on disk. It took about a hour to download it but it is well worth it. You can also pay a little more and have them shipped. It's 450 mb so you know it's big. Check it out. It's in euro but the rate is about
.7 to a dollar. It hasn't hit my credit card yet so i hope that's right.

Not trying to rain on your parade but you can usually find these on the internet for free.

I have no idea about the copyright issues with sharing these so delete my post if it is Randy.

Wink

I may be wrong, but I think the current view on this is that it's legally OK to download them if you already own the hardcopy. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

He purchased his download which is perfectly legal.

catbug, is this manual the Porsche factory manual, or a 3rd party manual (as in Chilton or Haynes)?

At the beginning of each volume it states "porsche workshop manual" Vol 1 x engine,Vol 1ax engine,Vol 2 transmission,Vol 3 chassis, Vol 4 electrical, Vol 5 electrical, Vol 6 Turbo. I don't know for sure what they are but i'm real happy with them.

That's the factory manual. Well worth the investment, but there are some things for the early cars that are not covered by this manual. Anything that carried over unchanged from the 924 is covered in the 924 manual, such as heater/vent controls. If I could find the factory manual for the 924, I'd pay $15 for that.
