So I know that the 944 has the option code sticker on the rear wall facing forward. However I have some nasty rear end damage and can't get to the sticker to read it. Is there any other location to find this information on the car?

Yes, the warranty booklet that came with the car has a duplicate Tyvek sticker pasted to the second page, where the owner's name and address form is, etc. Then again, you probably don't have that, right?

How's MA these days? Lived there for 5 years as a kid.

 

It's nice today! 50+ degrees, oh boy! Can't complain much this recession really hasn't hit us too bad, I'm still working. And no, I don't still have the owners manual. I think I'm probably the 3rd or maybe even the 9th owner of this lovely piece of... German engineering.

Excellent, I just looked at the car I'm restoring and the tag has been pulled off the back wall. lovely!

 

If you lift the rear hatch and pull the carpet back that's right below of the lift latch there's a sticker with the codes. My carpet just has 3 snaps.

 

Read some of his previous posts, they aren't in that location because of rear end damage.
