Post Tornado Air Management

Has anyone tried this? I saw it advertised on TV the other in a half hour infomercial. They claim it's a pretty easy and cheap way to get a bit more power and better mileage.

It's probably just a waste of money, but I wanted to see if anyone here has tried it.

Dude, I just put one of these in and picked up at least 30HP, just like the ad says. So then I bought another and BINGO +60HP. I just bought two more, I'll let you know the results when I get them installed!

Not only do they work great, but those electric superchargers, they make an NA accelerate like a turbo. Well that would be true if you think a leaf blower is going to add hp to a motor.....lol

Thumbs down

in all seriousness, think about it, you are putting this piece of metal with blades that restrict the airflow in your car... its going to cause air to flow SLOWER through the intake system... where does it go? BEFORE the intake manifold, probably before the throttle body, the vortex will NOT LAST through these areas, the air just gets split up in the intake anyway! these things are a scam!!! theres no possible way (unless you custom fit one in the end of each of the 4 ends of the intake manifold) that this would in ANY way help make power. Spend the money on higher octane fuel! <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[burnout]" />

**cough** BULL**** **cough**

Those things are all bogus. Just look at the customers that claim they receive a gain in hp, or use less gas. Do they look like they know what they are talking about? Didn't think so. When Porsche incorporates these "enhancements" in their new vehicles everyone will be out to get them. Till then, which may be a VERY long time, save your money.

Tornado air management??? Just a few simple rules here...

a) When a tornado is spotted, head for the storm cellar.

b) Keep your hand firmly on your wallet at all times.

Jim, oh, and c)... don't expect miracles.

I think we can figure out how often these tornado people run their infomercials because after every one it seems someone comes asking questions. Its good that they come in and ask if the thing really works(which we all know it doesn't), but the people I feel sorry for are the ones with credit card in hand who pick up the phone without thinking about it.
