Talking Engine Rebuild Update.... (No Damage Pics!)

OK Guys.... enough damage pics..

The engine is coming back together nicely. It is taking longer than desired, but it is comming.

I installed the oil cooler, water pump, new balance shaft seals, oil pan, motor mounts, cross member, and exhaust manifold.

Still left are the vacuum lines, intake manifold, cam housing with new lifters, and timming and balance shaft belts.

After this it will be time to install back in the car and start-up. Looks like I will be working through Christmas...

Next Update... After Christmas!!!

Nope... Those the same old headers I raced on before. This 84 motor had the cast iron "boat anchors" (Now I know why they call them "boat anchors" )

Anyway plan is to install the intake, new clutch and then the cam housing and set timming Tomorrow.

Then Thursday install the engine in the car.

Friday start work on torsion bars.. Gotta install those 30's before the next race Jan 5th!

Then have her ready for Alignment, Corner Balance and Dyno Run Monday or Tuesday next week.

... lets see what happens??
