Keep me posted on the date, my next few (thru 7/15) weekends are booked up but maybe my schedule will change. Any projects other than windows and foundation? I have a few odds and ends laying around from my own projects. Wish I could be of more help.

DUDE!! I so wanna do this! To bad I live in PA. How long of a drive do you think that is?
I've got landscaping skills and am good with my hands. I am an architecural student so I "should" know some stuff about houses.
Anyone wanna buy me a plane ticket??
Man, that would be so cool!

This is fantastic. Looks like everything could actually come together in a big way. I want to thank all of you for the words of encouragement on this project. I do want to let all of you know that the reason why I am proposing this effort is not to gain any praise or notoriety but simply to help out a fellow “Brother” in our community or maybe in yours. I personally believe that there are many out there with the ability to do just this same thing for any one out there who is in need of a simple helping hand just because. I wish more people out there would take the initiative and start projects like this more often. Maybe this can be the start of something much larger than any of us and bring to light the need for people to care about something more in there own lives or just the bubbles they live in. Make no mistake about it. I by no means am a role model I have made
Very big mistakes in my life that to this day I regret. But maybe, just maybe if more good comes from a project like this I can say that I have inspired other to be great in their own endeavors. I suppose it comes down to being willing to simply lend a hand to someone that needs a hand. Nothing more nothing less, we all will gain a lot more out of doing something like this than we would keeping to ourselves and not caring about a fellow man or wemon to be politically correct. SO I am very happy to see so many willing to step forward, Help out and make new friends along the way.
"Mac944, Dave," shoot me an e-mail so that I might add you to our list for needed supplies. Oh and thanks for being willing to lend a hand! It is very much appreciated.
"Operator" 200 miles is nothing to drive Until I moved to MA my drive was 80 miles each way to work and back 160 a day plus a full day at work. 200 miles is about 3.2 hours at 60 comon down! If need be I am sure we can put you up for a night or two even a week if you so choose to take in the sites in the area and join us in this effort. I have a comfortable couch, believe me I am engaged. LOL.
Tim Strayer. I am not sure where you are in PA but shoot me an email, and if need be we can find a way to get you here. Plane ticket, bus or rail cattle car "Just kidding on the rail cattle car"
Thank all of you for the input it is a great thing to know that the American Spirit is not dead and brothers can still help one another for the simple pride in knowing we can help, rather than the common alternative and trying to get something out of it. Oh I take that back. We will get something out of it other than the pride in helping some one for nothing. Friendships! Can any one put a price tag on THAT! I think not.
I will be talking with Jeremy this morning about this whole endeavor to see what his wife and he have decided. I will keep everyone informed and please if you are thinking about volunteering for this project and are not sure. Join in on the cause and shoot me an email. The more the better and the effort will be more satisfying the more persons join in.
Lets Save Jeremy’s Porsche!
Thanks Again

Well, I'll have to convince my g/f why I can take vacation time to go to Conn to help with a "barn raisin", and not hang up her shelves in the kitchen, but I may be able to come help. Give me a date and I'll look into "if" I can make it. I'd atleast like to try.

Hi Folks,
I really can't tell you how much my wife and I appreciate this incredible gesture of goodwill that you are all extending to us. I am waiting to here back from a few people about exactly what they feel needs to be done to get the house in good shape. I will keep updating the info as I find out more.
Keith,
I can't believe how big-hearted you are for starting this post. The outpouring of volunteer help has really inspired my wife and I and lifted our spirits considerable.
Thanks everyone and I'll keep the updates coming.
Best Regards,
Jeremy

I can not attend this good cause event but I will mention a couple of things that may benefit Jeremy and his family. Many states have “seller disclosure” requirements or forms that should have been filled out when the home was purchased. If such requirement exist, it may be worth while to investigate whether these problems “could have or should have been known by the seller” and were not disclosed. There is usually a statutory remedy for such “fraud”. Additionally, if a home inspection was done on the house, items such a leaking basement or damaged windows should have been caught by the home inspector which the home inspector should have reported to Jeremy. Most companies and individual inspectors carry insurance. This is another possible source of recourse for Jeremy to recoup damages he and his family have suffered. Lastly, if a real estate agent was involved there could be a breach of a fiduciary duty or a statutory violation, in which, Jeremy could recoup damages. I would suggest that Jeremy contact a local attorney that is familiar with the Real Estate laws of location of the premises (state and local) and explore the possibility of recouping the cost of the repairs.

Hello to all,
I have a thought that some of you may be able to help me with. This project may need as many as seven full and complete windows. Now I do not know the exact dementions of the windows right now but if any one knows of a window shop that we could contact that may have over stock of windows they would be willing to part with for a reasonable price we may be able to cut the cost of this project considerably. Again we will need up to seven windows in total but this dose not mean that there cannot be a slight size difference from, say one floor to another. Example Bottom floor could have windows 2 inches larger than the top floor. Of course we do not want this to turn out looking like crud. Well just a thought.
