Thumbs up

Today has indeed been a good day, several of our local Rennisters have come forward to offer support or lend a hand. I have to admit I am a bit taken back by the show of support. My hat goes off to you all. Further information regarding the project will be made available shortly and I now have a good running list of who may be able to attend. The time frame has not been set as of this time, nor has the green light been given from the Donefer family to even start the official planning. However now that Jeremy can see that there are several person out there who are willing to step forward to help I believe it is possible yet that we may save his supercharged monster from being sold at auction. I know that this car means a lot to him and as I have said before, it would be a shame if he where to have and sell it for home repairs that we all could help him resolve. This has been an awesome showing of kindness and goodwill, I applaud you all. Keeping you up to date will be my highest priority as information comes to me. As I have just moved into a new home I do not have Internet serves set up yet, so I will be signing off for the night. “Verison DSL will be hooked up hopefully tomorrow” If there are any suggestion or possible information please feel free to post it here in this discussion “anything helps” and remember to e-mail me directly at keithmochida@oaktech.com with Barn Raising in the subject so that I may identify it from work mail. It is important that any of you who wish to attend this event e-mail me in order to make sure there is enough steak and potatoes available for everyone, oh and beer and soda too.

Thanks again
Keith Mochida

I'm flat broke and I don't know anything about basements or windows, but I can drive a nail straight, my back's young, and I'll be in southern CT for the next month or so. I usually work weekends, but, I'll see what goes on here.

Are there any possible dates yet?! I want to pick up some new rims at the Tapanzee bridge - actually just meeting a guy there - sometime soon. It would be super-kosher (a new and GOOD expression!) if I could get the rims and help out all in the same weekend.
Keep us posted...

I just read the post and thought I'd join in on the bumping - this deserves to stay high on the board. This is fantastic stuff and if the Atlantic wasn't in the way, I'd want to lend a hand as well.

Keep us all posted on developments.

Hi Guys,

After a tough weekend of talking to contractors and figuring out exactly what needs to be done to the house, I have concluded that I have to sell the Porsche. The cost of materials alone for the work are pretty far up there and, even if all of you EXTREMELY gracious folks did the labor, I would still fall short by a small boatload of cash.

I really want to thank you all for the outpouring of support that you have offered and given to me. It was a very hard decision to sell this car. I had only finished the last project 1 month ago. But I guess you have to believe that things happen for a reason. I know one reason was to show me how a group of strangers, with only a vehicle commonality, can be so compassionate.

You guys are all amazing and my wife and I both thank you from the bottom of our hearts. I’ll still be on the boards until the next Porsche comes along.

Best Regards,

Jeremy Donefer
