Difference in quality between different brand rear main seals?
I'm looking at doing the rear main seal on the 951 and am wondering if there is any difference in quality between the three rear main seals offered by paragon. There is the Victor Rienz one for $19.18, the Kaco/Porsche black one for $21.95, and then the Elring black and orange one for $28.00. Any good/bad experiences to report on for the different seals?

in my experience ive used prob. each one of these. I had one bad job where i used the cheapest one- came in the clutch assy. kit, and it leaked. That being said, ive since found out that you have to drive the seal all the way in- as far as it will go until it stops and not just flush w/ the edge of the block it you dont want it to leak. So i would say each is as good as the other- the most expensive is pretty sturdy though, heavier metal in there or something.

I have read several times that the cheaper black seal that comes in engine kits can sometimes leak but the reddish brown one holds up well. My engine parts supplier confirmed this also and they made sure I got the red one.
