Default 920X tool...

I've been using it a lot, I know how it works, but one thing I don't understand, is in the instructions when JUST TENSIONING, NOT REPLACING the belt, why does it say "set crank and cam to TDC" in the instructions, but with the balance shaft for just tensioning it says "Engine does not need to be in any specific placement."

if you're not pulling the belt, wouldn't it not matter if it were TDC?

The pressure of the valve train can vary doepending on
cam position. At TDC (marks aligned) the pressure is always the same.
