It's easier in CA where the weather at least cooperates most of the year. In the Northeast I can drive for one hour and come back with an absolutely filthy vehicle!
Granted I attempt to keep the external appearance of my car in the best condition I can but the roads and weather make it difficult. Of course having what seems like a black car (it's actually graphite metallic) doesn't make it any easier.
