Post OT: Stand alone fuel injection

I will be transplanting a VW 1.8T motor into my '81 VW Rabbit Convertible. I plan on using a stand alone fuel management system. What are some experiences with the SDS system and the TEC3 systems.

SDS Pros :

- Cheap
- Simple to learn
- handheld programmer can be used daily
- does the job

SDS Cons :

- missing key features such as :
o wideband O2
o logging
o boost control
- handheld programmer kinda ugly
