Post Rear hatch carpet, anyone using this?

Anyone know if these are any good? Vertex has them for around $100. I saw one on an S2, but it said "Porsche". The carpet looked nice and thick, but I don't know if it's the same one. My original carpet is a bit faded, must be the sun and heat going through the rear hatch from over the years. Yet another reason to tint.

I have one, got it back in '94. Mine is black and has the crest on it. I think it was about $100, I got it from Automotion, now Performance Products.

I have the tan interior and the black is a good update, changed the whole hatch look. I went with the floor mats in black too, the fronts have the 944 logo in tan.

All five pieces were purchased in '94 and still look very good. Yes, the car is driven, I've put 141,000 on her since then. It's garaged at night and has tinted windows so it is somewhat protected from the elements.

I think it's worth it.

Thanks!

Just trying to give people some last minute gift ideas. Too bad Automotion is gone. Especially since they were about a 15 minute drive from my house.

why is it all the trunk mats i see dont have the molded hump for the spare? were there different versions of the carpeting back there from the factory (meaning 1 piece and 2 piece?) or do those mats just cover existing carpet?

Here's a photo of the mat in my car. The carpet is very thick and plush. The fit is snug. After a while, you'll almost forget you have a mat there.

I have the same mats in the front of my car (the thick Lloyd's ones). They are of a very high quality. I've never heard of anyone being displeased with 'em.

That looks great, Sean! Lloyds mats are of very high quality.

For my S2, I had a local upholstery shop that specializes in German cars sew up a replacement. It included a sewn pocket for the spare, and black vinyl edging as well. It's actually glued to the existing carpet, so with two layers it's heavy, but it also provides most excellent sound deadening. I paid about $150 and it looks great. But if I had known about the Lloyds mat, I might have gone that way.

I'm sold on that picture! I think I saw the Lloyds mat from a vendor in Excellence for around $80, it's not embroidered, but I really don't care about that.

Thanks for posting

Anyone have a web site for the Lloyds?
