Default What the Fuch?!

I recently dismantled a parts car, an 84' with custom factory paint and all other options, except LSD But anyways it had a set of fuch's on it that, when on the parts car I did not notice anything about how the rims sat in the fenders. But when I went to put a front fuch on my 84' it sat way too far into the fender, like it deffinatly needs a spacer. When I took the rears off the parts car they did have small spacers on them however.

But what gives I thought all fuch's except late 951's would fit with no problem?

There is a part number on the rim but dosnt start with 911 or 901 like the previous set I had did. Could they possibly be replica's? It also has the letters FCO stamped inside the rim.

The part number stamped on the iside of one of the front rims is :
11362113 with AS1062 below it.

There are no "late 951" fuchs.

There is a factory spacer on the back of the early cars. I think that is what you are referring to.

Those are factory Fuchs. I don't have the time to look up the number to verify size but I bet the one on the front is a 6inch wide Fuchs, that's why it looks like it sits in a lot.

It is 6inch wide, your are correct.

Bummer. I was hoping I wouldnt need to buy spacers...
Anyone know the size spacer I would need off hand? Just to push it out like a stock Cookie of Phone

I would think the best course of action would be measuring the distance between where the wheel currently sits and where you would like it to sit then buy a spacer that's that size.

For example, If your want the wheels out 3/4" from where they are then get a 3/4" spacer. Just be carefull to avoid pushing the tires into the inside lips of the fenders.

Hope this helps

I would just buy 7" or 8" fuchs for the front, 6" is too narrow IMHO.

I would agree, 6" Fuchs are not worth the effort. Not wide enough. 7's and 8's at the minimum.

Well of course, I was wondering if anyone knew off hand.

And as I do agree with the 6 inches not being worth it, I just can't afford another pair. Was hoping just to use them next spring for a change from my phonies but I guess Ill just sell them to the 914'ers. Where my last set went..

The sale of the Fuch's will pay for the parts car itself so Im not too worried about losing them to break even.
