VICTORY!!!
The Car RUNS!
First off...huge props to 75ohm (Jason)...he rules!
He came over right after work. We began troubleshooting. Swapped a known good DME. No Dice
Checked everything. I mean everything. Checked wires on the back of the fuse panel. good.
Checked DME relays (swapped between the two I have. No change.
We were not getting spark.
Drank a few beers. Checked more stuff.
But then, with the Rays up 3-0....
We pulled up clark's garage.
Checked for voltage to the fuel pump. Good.
Checked for voltage at DME..good.
Checked for spark at the Coil. Good.
Checked coil resistance...good.

Then we double checked the ref and speed sensors...
One was good (the new one I replaced earlier in the thread. Spot on..good.
Then we checked the other one...holy ****, it was bad!!!

But we didn't have a spare sensor....or did we?

Found the one I pulled at the beginning of the thread (the connector disintegrated)...

Put the ohm meter to it... it is GOOD!!!

So we spliced the connector from the "bad" sensor to the old sensor.

Put it in the car.

Cranked. No start. ****!!!!

But (remember there was beer involved)....we "remember" we did not put the DME relay back.

Slapped in the relay.....and the car started right up. VICTORY!!!

Now I am drinking another beer, knowing my car runs again..
Still need a new sensor to replace the hack job we did. But Dammit, the car runs!

Thanks again for the help.
Yes...I resisted the urge to drive the car today.

Anytime man...

Good. Although I'm confident it would go, today isn't a good day to find out weather wise.

I think I'll drink a beer to your victory. Right now! And maybe some more tonight. And maybe some more later.

This one was a sweet victory. The methodical, frustrating troubleshooting was an interesting exercise.
A good head scratcher....
