The 968cs wheel was $380.70 delivered to me from Sunset Imports in Oregon (assuming you don't live in WA or OR).

I bought the 930S steering wheel from AJ-USA. Are those actually factory Porsche products? Also, is there a difference between the 930S wheel and the 968CS wheel?

can anyone clear up the difference between the 930s wheel and the 968 club sport wheel? i have seen questionable photos of each, but they look very similar.

i also found a "genuine porsche rs" wheel. it is very slick looking, but can't find reference to it actually being real anywhere. FWIW, it is a three spoke design with a slightly more "swollen" center section than the 968cs wheel. it also has an aluminum ring riveted in the center of the wheel with the p-crest.

wait a sec, i found a part number for the wheel i am referring to: 993 347 084 80 8YR

anyone?

As far as I know, the only difference is the horn pad. The 930s wheel has a colored crest on the horn pad and the 968cs has an embossed crest. It is possible that the hub, among other things has different dimensions. This has been covered many times on Rennlist and there may be more info in the archives.

I believe this wheel was used on the 993RS, which was not sold in the US.

John D. sent out email about AJ-USA's holiday special. The 930s wheel is one of the items normally $331 now (Rennlist member only price) $245. So buy yourself a membership and save about $80 bucks - or at least that's how you can explain it to your SO. By the way I'm a member I just never got Jen to put the little red tag over there <-.

IMO the factory wheel is much nicer... but it's a lot more money too.

Tom,

I did see it on your website. Nice car by the way.

When I have sorted everything out on my car, I'll get a factory steering wheel. Hugh confirmed what you said too.
