Default 944 N/A to 951 front end conversion feeler

A fellow RLer and myself are parting a rear hit 86 951. I was thinking of selling the entire front end for a N/A to 951 conversion. Here are the parts I am talking about.

bumper cover and brackets
fenders
fogs
front & side signals (markers)
headlight covers
plastic headlight surrounds
header
bumper support
batwing
mounting hardware

Attached is a pic of the car. Already pulled the light covers. Not the best pic, but you get the idea. Of course it is the uber-rare Guards Red! Some parts have issues, but I can go into details with those that are interested.

Is anyone out there interested in something like this? If not, I will break it up and sell separately. Also, I am near Indianapolis and at this point not interested in shipping all this stuff.

The rubber/plastic piece that fits under the bumper cover. At least that is what I call it. Sorry I don't have separate pics of it. Most often they are cracked up and destroyed by hitting curbs, parking blocks, etc.

One thing I might suggest if you don't mind.

When you remove the front end with the lights, cut the wires for the harness as far back into the engine bay as possible. Don't just unplug the lights at plug juntions. The plugs and wire colours are different on a turbo/S2 compared to an N/A. Getting both sides of the plugs and some extra wire is a great help for the person doing the conversion. The side light plugs/wires are the same, its the front amber lights and the fogs that are different.

Oh, don't forget the black plastic headlight surrounds. I didn't see them on your list, and they are different on the 951/S2 cars compared to the N/A.

Good luck!

Excellent info, thanks Tifo! The plastic surrounds certainly make sense, but I had no idea about the plugs and never would have thought of that.

There are more than 4 bolts. I assume you are talking about the ones in view at the top in the engine bay? If so, there are others in the headlight areas. Raise the headlights, pull out the black rubber trim piece that is tucked into the header panel in the corner near the front of each headlight. You will see the other bolts.
