As I said I'm not really 'trying' to sell the car any longer. That may change as spring approaches. I have an engine swap underway for my 911 and the money would be usefull for that.
Just to clear up one other minor issure, the conversions were done from '83 until '85 with rumour of another one done away from Callaway with leftover parts by a former worker. The conversions were done on '83 model year 944s since a manual steering rack is needed for clearance of the intercooler ducting.
Many of the cars differed on minor issues such as cockpit adjustable boost control, also Callaway experimented with Carter knock control, which according to my conversations with Reeves never really worked so it was dropped.

My name is Clayton. I bought a 944 from a friend of mine last year and have been working on tracking down some of its history. I believe this car was yours at one point. It is a 1983 944 callaway. The guy I bought it from said the car was owned by a guy in massachusetts. I've seen some thread on rennlist and followed a link where you have the car and the conversion done with all the pictures. https://members.rennlist.com/tholyoak/callaway.html The car even has the same Brandis edu sticker. The vin number is WPOAA0948DN451936. Is this the same car? I am trying to find out more of its history as I restore it. Message me on here or here is my email: cmc.1991@yahoo.com Thanks!

Was going to make a comment about n00bs bumping a 15-year old thread , but this is hella cool. Getting and documenting history of cars is interesting to me and I've done that on a few cars; and will pass the info with the car.
I did notice an innocent-seeming question which has a lot more sinister tone, knowing now what we do about the poster:
(if you were wondering, he is still a criminal douchebag but did recently get sentenced again)

For some reason, my account does not have the option to send a private message. Could you email me at cmc.1991@yahoo.com?
