I bought SS braided lines from a few different vendors, and found the best quality (IMHO) to be the stuff from Paragon Performance (no relationship to Jason et al from Paragon PRODUCTS). Make sure you get good quality SS lines, to reduce the chance of the rubber interior hose from "slipping" under the braid and getting a fuel leak at the attachment like Elongooberhead (sp?) had in a post here recently.

While you are getting the hose, try to get the best hose clamps you can find. I ordered some Gator brand clips that provided something like 2X the clamping force or regular hose clamps.

Those "faux" aeroquip clamps (alum covers over regular hose clamps), that some people have used are VERY BAD imho as most times the clamps themselves are not very good, and the alum cover hides your view of how well the hose is really seated under the clamp. People think they look cool, but you are giving up a lot of function IMHO.

links of places where I got my hose and clamps:

Hey now, Aeroquip it isn't the only one who makes those hokey fashion clamps, Earl's, Russell and others do as well.

Aeroquip is probably one of the best hose and hose end makers out there.

But I agree, those things are flash and rank as ricey in my opinion.

I know SFR has fuel lines as well. Can we replicate those fuel lines for a lot cheaper than $80 bux. I never really looked into this but it looks like it can be done very easy. Just provide a list of the parts that are needed so I can order them up. Is our fuel lines 7/32" in diameter?

Place where I bought my Aeroquip SS lines had a great suggestion for the ends. Just use a bit of heat shrink tubing on the ends!

Then the good GATOR / NORMA clamps of course!

I know the hard lines on a 924S are roughly the same as the ID for -5 and -6. You cannot, cannot use a hose that is bigger than the smallest nipple it has to fit (Duh) and you should not try to stretch this stuff over a much larger nipple.

Regarding Dan87951's comment, a three foot section of -6 Aeroquip AQP is around $16.00 and the little flashy clamp cover thingies, Earl's Econ-o-Fit in this case, are about $6 each in the Summit catalog. So for about $50 odd plus shipping you can make these little fashion hose kits yourself.

Dan Gallagher,

Send me a PM and I'll give you the low-down on what you need to build a set of hoses correctly using proper hose ends and braid covered hose. It won't be cheap, but it will be right.

ok been busy...sorry to bring up an old post but im a lil' confused (not hard heheh). i searched paragon products for ss fuel lines but didnt find any, on the paragon performance site i found ss fuel lines but it seems to be for general applications (no 951 specific kit). is paragon products and paragon performance the same company or two different co.s that just happen to share similar names? which one is the higher quality line? if it is paragon performance, the way it looks to me, i would have to special order three hose assys, does anyone have the dimensions? did you have them make a flexible/rigid assy for the output of the fuel rail to input of damper assembly (like the stock line)? all help will be greatly appreciated.

I am working on putting these together. When I get them right I am going to be offering them initially for around $60. Should be some time next week.

Just a coincidence. P Performance is just happens to be the place that, when I was ordering various SS braided lines a year ago seemed to have good prices and the best quality hose. I used -6 sized hose, but depending on what type of FPR you have, you may be able to use the next smaller size for the FPR to the return line. SImply measure the length of hose you need, and order it pre-cut from Paragon Performance (or other supplier).

As a warning, I ordered some cheaper SS line from one of the catalog guys (Jegs, maybe??), and the quality of the hose was very poor.

Fianlly, be carefull about those flashy faux-aeroquip connections....some of them look flashy, but the clamping quality is not good. Your fuel line upgrade is only as good as the clamps you use.....get the best ones you can find. fake aeroquip is RICE anyway.

below is a pic of my old car that shows how I even ran the sslines thru firesleeving in an attempt to make them even more leak resistant in the event of fire etc:
