Yes

[quote]Seems like anything over $150 for the ebay parts is too much.

I still say $300-350 is okay... these are plug-n-play (no hacksaw needed), and new they would have been ~$650 including the springs (but not including the upper strut bearings). Konis are built for life, however, the warranty is_not transferable.

[quote]If I spend $400 at paragon for bolt on "hackers" and another $200 for springs and perches I have a total of $600 into what is on ebay and it is new. if the ebays need rebuilding thats 300 in parts, 150 in used springs total $450, - a savings/price for the ebay parts of 150 plus im out my time "hacking".

The $400 for 2 struts includes "hacking"... not sure if you are saying that? I'm confuzed now

[quote]Am I on target on this or is there some premium to attach to the fact the ebays are "adjustable"?

All Konis are adjustable... to varying degrees. The standard Koni Sport is rebound adjustable only, with options to add compression adjustment. The valving for the 8741-1136S and the 8641-1414S is identical.... so, they can be called the *same*.

Tom
I hear what you're saying, i'm just in denial that things could get better.

Skip,
I started my comparison of new to new and put the hackers in at 400 knowing that was bolt on. i added the springs at 200 and concluded i could get what is on ebay brand new sorta for 600. If i get the ebays for 300 and they need a rebuild i am up to 600 plus my labor to hack or 700 hacked plus extra shipping.

in conclusion, 600 for new hackers vs. 200 for ebay's and it's a wash. anything over 200 for the ebay's is a gamble. if the 20k is correct and Danno is wrong about the excessive wear and im ok, add labor, and im better off with the hackers. lets see if i get into a gambling mood next week.
