yup completely removed them.
I give up I'm not going to waste anymore time. Sometimes you just have to give up. It's going to require someone to cut it with a saw or someone much stronger than me to pry on it with gorrilla arms.
good news is I'm getting my new coupler tom (ups guy came and I wasn't here).
and I think I found a new torque tube in my city if I need one.

Not that it matters now that you've given up here is the cutter I was referring to. The 312-FC would seem to fit your needs and is only 5-1/2 inches long. Not sure if that would fit or not.

I doubt that would work or if it does it'll take you like a million hours to cut through it. plus that sound a little dangerous with the engine running.
oh and now that the bolts are out the tq tube shaft spins inside the coupler freely and makes that horrible screeching sound I thought was my clutch.
I bought a tube cutter and it did not even cut into that coupler. the tube cutter I had was for aluminum / brass so maybe you need one for steel? i couldn't find one.
anyways the car is off stands now I'm going to have to get help from somone.
I'm towing it out to a board members place (marksportcts) which is in a different city and is going to cost me in towing but he may be able to help get it fixed, hopefully.

If the blade could be slipped in there, cutting oil could be squirted in through the inspection hole and it'd cut the coupler in a few minutes with the engine turning, I'd bet. Just a big lathe.

The only problem is the TT shaft side of the coupler is stripped so the coupling won't turn with the engine on. He could do the same thing by turning the wheels in gear though, just slower.

so how would you hold the blade on? I'm not going to try it but curious.
yes if I run the engine now, it'll just make a horrible screeching sound as the tq tube shaft spins inside teh metal coupler.
I also don't want to end up damaging the trans shaft also and then require a new torque tube / trans / a coupler which would mean I'd actually have to trash the car.

I thought it was still possible to tighten the coupler enough to grip, but not enough to move the car. It would be possible, I expect, to stop cutting when you got through the coupler. If the trans bolts were left loose it might even crack when it got thin.
