It's a little disappointing that this list doesn't include "handing you over to local authorities", if the toughest penalty is making you get a new ebay name, we might as well all start scamming

It's sad. Whenever some new idea comes along (like the e-bay concept) there will be scumbags to take advantage of it. I buy NOTHING through e-bay. I have friends who have with mixed results. But, it is too easy to misrepresent. My philosophy is simple. Deal with reputable organizations such a those who advertise in Pano and Excellence, and when buying from a private party, do not buy until you can see, touch and test the item.
