Default Steering wheel upgrade to match early Brown?

I just picked up this very nice 84 Copenhagen blue with a 2 tone brown and tan interior.. Cosmetics are good but for 3 things.. shift **** (already have a new boot/**** combo on the way), dash has typical cracks (going to leave it for now while I decide what to do about it) and the steering wheel..

Wheel has some wear spots and the stitching has come apart from about 11 o'clock to 1 o'clock.

I would just send it to Paul C for a redo but I really want a wheel that is about 1" smaller in diameter or has a subtle D shape to it as I barely fit under this thing as is.. not terrible, but it's annoying to me. I almost wish I could lower my seat an inch as that would help as well. (do sport seats lower your position at all?? or just add bolsters?)

I've seen several wheels that would be acceptable to me but nothing seems to come in brown..

Any suggestions?

All the aftermarket momo and sparco wheels are black. The Prototipo style fits in with earlier cars.

Howsabout wood. That's a Dino wheel with an eBay hornbutton, the ****, I don't know.

It's not an exact match, but who wants that? Those speakers look atrocious, I know, but my interior is a work in progress that continues to improve.

I am not a big fan of wood, but other than black, that may be your only choice.

Yep.. I've been looking at different wood options this morning as I think it may be my only option to go with a slightly smaller wheel while not looking too too out of place..

I found this style and I sorta like it.. the brushed aluminum will match the trim in the car..

(it's an 80's Momo wheel)

Looks like a good way to go. IMHO, it wont look out of place.

Looks good, Kev. I like the holes in the spokes and the brushed aluminum.

buy whatever momo wheel you want then send it to Rob or Paul to get recovered in brown.

prototipo. simple as that. disregard the dirty state of the interior or any, ahem, readings from the gauges (only pics i have of the wheel).

Well.. I won the wheel on eBay last night.. (the wood Momo pictured above)

I thought I was going to steal it as it was sitting there at $30 bucks or so with a minute to go.. I threw up a high bid of $101 to make sure I got it and someone else had put in $75 so I ended up with it for $76. Still, I'm not unhappy with that.

Now I just need the Porsche/Momo adapter. I'm going to paint the black bits brown to match as best I can.. Any leads on a used one? or if I buy new is there a specific model I need to get or will any of them are listed for the 944 fit? (making sure there is no early/late issues like some other parts)

Thanks~

I think you need MOMO part number 7004 for the hub.
I am not sure about the early car though.

Did some research~

Early cars are 8010.. 85.5+ are the 7004
